With 8 races run over 4 days, I won't attempt any play-by-play... its all just a blur now. The RC was very efficient - races started on time and there was no waiting about. The general flow of the weekend would have Tom with George and Peter with Joe gapping out a bit on the first beat and then continuing to draw away from the field. Stephanie generally had 3rd place to herself, and the rest of us fighting it out in midpack. But there were several variations on that theme. In the first race 3rd through 5th finished virtually overlapped (the course was a triangle, windward, leeward, with a hook finish). McEvoy was 2nd boat around the windward mark in one race. A few boats spent time upside down throughout the weekend, and there were the usual assortment of gear failures. The new Winders of Tom & Joe are fast and well thought out boats, but it still comes down to who's sailing them, and the winners of the weekend definitely deserved their place at the front.
